As an educator and violin teacher, Hua has over 10 years of experience teaching the violin across all levels and ages. Hua’s passion for teaching and professional skills have enabled her to guide numerous students towards achieving their goals. She firmly believes that her role extends beyond mere instruction to encompass nurturing students’ personal growth and character development. Described by students as supportive and positive, Hua’s lessons foster a supportive and non-judgmental environment where students feel encouraged to express themselves and enjoy the process of learning. By integrating various teaching methods with music theory and ear training, Hua offer her students a comprehensive training that not only establishes a solid foundation for their musical development but also empowers them with the knowledge and skills needed to blossom into versatile musicians.

As an active violin performer, Hua was the 3rd prize winner of Hong Kong International String Competition, top prize winner of the Lima Symphony Young Artist Competition, Second prize and Best Performance of Pancho Vladigerov’s Work at Pancho Vladigerov International Violin Competition. Hua has performed at prestigious concert venues around the globe, including Suntory Hall and Kioi Hall in Japan, Shanghai Oriental Art Center and Shanghai Concert Hall in China, and National Community Hall Dobri Voynikov in Bulgaria. 

As a chamber and orchestra musician, Hua has collaborated closely with esteemed conductors such as Carl St. Clair, Giancarlo Guerrero, and Thomas Wilkins. Hua was also a member of Seiji Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy in Okushiga, Japan, from 2015 to 2019, where she had the privilege of working with world-renowned musicians such as Seiji Ozawa, Sadao Harada, Yoshiko Kawamoto, and Julien Szulman. Hua was also a member of the Cong Quartet and received intensive coaching from Pacifica Quartet. 

Hua holds a Bachelor of Music degree and Artist Diploma in Violin Performance at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music where she studied with Prof. Kevork Mardirossian and Prof. Mauricio Fuks. She’s currently pursuing a Master of Music degree in Violin Performance under the guidance of Prof. Simin Ganatra, first violin of the Grammy-winning Pacifica Quartet.
