My journey as a musician began when I first discovered a deep appreciation for the expressive power of music. Encouraged by an inspiring middle school band director, I developed a lasting passion for music-making and the impact that dedicated educators can have on young musicians. That early inspiration continues to shape my approach to teaching today.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree from Shenandoah Conservatory, where I studied under Garrick Zoeter. During my time there, I received Honorable Mention in the 2021 Student Soloist Competition and performed regularly with a variety of ensembles including the Shenandoah Conservatory Symphony Orchestra, Wind Ensemble, chamber groups, Clarinet Choir, and the Harambee Gospel Choir. After graduating from Shenandoah University, I spent the early summer of 2023 touring major cities in Argentina, performing Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 5.
I earned my Master’s degree in Instrumental Arts at Bard Conservatory, studying with David Krakauer and Pascual Martínez. While at Bard, I performed at Carnegie Hall with the Bard Chinese Ensemble, participated in music education outreach programs in the surrounding community, and collaborated with peers on numerous chamber music projects.
Alongside performing, I am a passionate music educator who loves helping students discover the joy of music, build confidence, and develop their creativity in the classroom. My goal as an educator is to foster a supportive and engaging environment where students feel excited to explore and grow through music.
In my free time, I enjoy catching up on my favorite TV series and spending time with friends.
