Sarah is excited to teach violin as well as beginning viola and piano in both the Suzuki and traditional instructional methods and looks forward to adapting her teaching to meet each student’s unique learning needs! She brings a thoughtful, student-centered approach to her teaching and is deeply passionate about sharing music with her students.
Sarah is an active participant in the Arlington Philharmonic as well as the Anacrusis Quartet (an ensemble formed during her time at William & Mary). Sarah Russell-Hunter holds a bachelor’s degree in Music from William & Mary and was trained by Meredith Buxton, Hyunji Lee, Susan Via, and Daniel Sender throughout her musical upbringing.
Outside of teaching and performing, you can find Sarah helping patients as a registered nurse. She’s also a proud lizard mom to her leopard gecko, Felix, a beginner crocheter, and an enthusiastic fan of film scores, The Grand Budapest Hotel being a current favorite.
